Art blog by disabled artist living with low vision. Paintings, sculpture, and performance art but mostly the figurative vibrant blend of street art aesthetics and pop art boldness. Alt text is in the works!
"Give Me Something To Believe" or also known as "Alien Girl" Stands out amongst my paintings to me because of the line work, colors, and most of all because it's sexy and funny at the same time. Not to mention the vibrancy of the colors and the phrase,"He's sending me to the moon!" on the side.
From dozens of other "alien girl" drawings came this one. When I look at this painting now I think it may have something to do with feeling alienated(no pun intended) and also the feeling of having an extra pair of eyes in an unexpected place. With losing some of my vision, I feel in many ways I've had to develope a "new set of eyes" for how I see people and filter visual information.
